『Forest of Kyoto』 a day trip for a wedding trip location research
I went to Miyama village in Kyoto prefecture for elopement wedding location research today!
Miyama village is located in northern east from Kyoto city and it takes about an hour and half hours by train.
I am from Kyoto prefecture and raised here but it was my first time to visit this village but wow it was amazing!!!!!! Kyoto prefecture are categorized 4 parts – Kyoto city area, Tea fields area, forest area and seaside area ( Kyoto by the sea). Miyama village belongs to Forest area and I found lots of rustic, beautiful and traditional sceneries of countryside.
1.Cherry blossom trees
Wow…. we can’t see such a beautiful cherry blossom viewing in city area. There are tons of cherry blossom trees surrounded the village!
2.Thatch – roofed house village ( Miyama Kayabuki no Sato)
Shirakawa-Go is a famous village for sight-seeing but Miyama Kayabuki no Sato is also famous.
You can stay at a whole B & B thatch – roofed house and experience rustic and simple life with fresh breakfast.
Miyama Futon & Breakfast – awarded Excellent certificate of TripAdvisor in 2016 and 2107
3. Shrines and temples
I had a coffee milk flavored gelato from Miyama cow but it was yummy!! I regret that I missed to take photos of that.. I had a soba noodle for lunch and it was so fresh and delicious!
Miyama village is also famous for fresh vegetables, local chickens and dairy products.
5. Rustic sceneries
There are many rice fields, rivers, mountains, falls, bridges and so on.
If you like a real rustic location for your elopement wedding, Miyama village should be one of options for you. I am pleased to conduct your ceremony anywhere you want:) There is no additional decorations in nature landscape but just you and your partner.
One day was not enough for research and I needed one or two more days even I live in city area..
I felt relaxed and enjoyed many fresh foods and beautiful sceneries!
A wedding trip in Miyama village must be a precious moments for you:)
